The anatomy of a celebration cake

How we stack crumb, soak, cream, and a gold finish so a cake reads as architecture — not frosting with a hobby.

A celebration cake is a small building. We start with the room it will enter, then choose a crumb that can hold height, a soak that keeps the slice generous, and a cream that can take leaf or botanicals without weeping.

The stack

Vanilla bean chiffon with brown-butter soak and dark chocolate ganache is our house signature. For weddings we often move to almond dacquoise and champagne cream. The point is not a longer menu — it is a stack that behaves on a warm afternoon.

The finish

Gold leaf prefers a set ganache. Fresh flowers prefer a cool buttercream collar. We decide the finish before we bake, the same way a sibling studio would decide a product surface before writing an interface.
